   Farmington Hills Mercy downed Catholic High School League rival Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 17-14 in girls lacrosse action on Wednesday, April 21, at Cranbrook’s Thompson Oval.

   Mercy led 8-7 at halftime, but Cranbrook rallied early in the second half to take a 10-9 lead with 18.35 left. The Cranes led 14-13 with 12:18 left as the two teams exchanged goals before Mercy senior Jillian Smith scored the final four goals to earn the win.

 

   Smith finished with 11 goals on the day, dominating face offs and scoring

at will. Sophomore Kate Brady and senior Peyton Smith both scored two goals for the Marlins. Junior Andrea Andres and freshman Abigail Locy added goals in the win.

   Junior Kelli Doyle earned the victory in goal for the Marlins.

   Mercy (2-3) was coming off a 17-6 victory over Pontiac Notre Dame Preparatory on Monday, April 19. Mercy travels to face CHSL rival Bloomfield Hills Marian on Monday, April 26.
