Spartans win playoff opener

Girls lacrosse: Livonia United pounds Saline 15-4 in MHSAA pre-regional on Friday, May 17, 2019

 

   Livonia United earned its inaugural Michigan High School Athletic Association girls lacrosse playoff victory Friday, May 17, with a dominating 15-4 victory over Saline at Livonia Stevenson.

   Maddy Campagne scored 12 goals for the first-year program. She now has 152 goals on the season and can set the state record if she passes 157.

    Lindsay Hunt, Klaudia Roznowski, and Nichole Stefanide added goals in the victory.

   Livonia (10-8) advances to face Novi (11-7) on Wednesday, May 22, at Novi.

   Livonia won the Kensington Lakes Activities Association East division title this season and reached the KLAA championship game.
